Edit a healthcare service

Overview​

This flow describes how to change the details of an existing healthcare service in Care.

Pre-requisites​

  • The healthcare service is set up in the facility.
  • You have the permission listed below.

Permissions​

PermissionAccess
Can Create Healthcare Service on FacilityLets you edit a healthcare service. Facility Admin and Admin hold this permission on the root department of the facility.

Note: Care shows the Edit button to every user who opens a healthcare service. If you do not hold the permission, Care refuses the request when you save.

Steps​

1. Open the healthcare service​

Open the facility. Select Settings. Select Healthcare Services. Select the service.

2. Start the edit​

Select Edit. Care opens the Edit Healthcare Service form.

3. Update the details​

Change the fields that you want to update. The form holds the same fields as the create form. For a description of each field, see Create a healthcare service.

Note: The Save button stays inactive until you change a field.

4. Save the changes​

Select Save.

Expected Outcome​

  • Care saves the new details of the healthcare service.
  • Care shows the message "Healthcare service updated successfully".
  • Care returns you to the details page of the service.
